Fortnite Themed Birthday Party
Do you know what Fortnite is? Well neither did I until a few months ago. This popular video game is a major hit with kids and adults alike and we started getting inquiries about it for a birthday theme from multiple parents. We did a bunch of research and came up with Fornite inspired decor so wanted to share some of it with you.
Invitations
We often work with Teresa from Paper & Planes Design when creating custom birthday themes. She did a great job keeping with the theme and even put the birthday boy on the invite which he was thrilled about!
Dessert Table
We turned the dessert table into one of the backdrops from the video game. Blue sky backdrop with clouds and a green grass table. We made a custom birthday sign in the same shape as the Fortnite logo and used rustic wooden crates and treasure chests as the dessert containers. We came up with fun labels for the desserts that were Fortnite themed too!
Loot Bags
In the game there are supply drops of loot that fall from the sky in what appear to be crates flying in by balloon. We took this idea and turned them into the loot bags. Everyone got their own supply drop bag at the end of the party. We even used some of them as decor by hanging them on curtain rods and the stair banister to look like they are floating in. This would work best if you had a two story foyer with the bags floating down from the second level.
Chug Jug Juice
In Fortnite there is a drink called chug jug which is a beverage that helps you heal in the game. We turned small bottles of blue Gatorade into this healing juice by adding custom labels on them. This was definitely the drink of choice at the party.
We had a great time researching Fortnite and putting together this theme. Contact us if your birthday boy or girl has a fun theme up their sleeve and let us help create the decor. We will create any theme imaginable so let us know what you (or your child’s imagination) has in mind! Also check out our party rental themes– themed party rentals that create a fantastic party theme without harming the environment with a bunch of disposable party decorations.

I have a tough one!! Zebra, Harry Potter, fortnite birthday
allwrappedup
All three in one?? That would be a tough one to intersect. Each element of the party could have the different themed elements. For example a Harry Potter candy table with coloured candies in the different house colours, Fortnite themed loot bags and a Zebra/jungle themed photo wall. Could work!
Kimberly
My son wants a Fortnite birthday, it’s coming up in Sep. What did you use to make the “drop” words? What deserts are those? Is that jello in the syringe?
allwrappedup
Hi Kimberly,
I made a stencil and spray painted the bags with the drop letters. We have a Fortnite Party in a Box in our Etsy shop which you can find here: https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/634813773/fortnite-party-in-a-box-everything-you?ref=shop_home_active_3. If you are just looking for the loot bags I can make those and ship them to you as well. Send me an email at celebrate@allwrappedupevents.ca if you are interested in discussing more 🙂

How much for 11
Farah Larbi
Did you find out what she used?
Melanie
Hey Farah! Yup – it was jello 🙂
Farah
Jello? On the goodie bag?
Melanie
Hi Farah! Sorry that was for the other part of the question. I created a stencil for the drop bags and used white spray paint on them to make the DROP words
Caleb
Some fantastic ideas. Thanks so much for sharing your party ideas.

Thank you!

I love the rice crispies…how did you make those?
allwrappedup
Hi Jessica,
I didn’t actually make the rice crispies, they were made by a baker. but it’s red fondant cut in strips with white fondant strips for the cross. The kids loved them!
Andrea
I would make the rice krispies and then wrap with fruit by the foot or fruit roll-up cut into strips and pipe the cross on the top with frosting:)
Catherine Madley
I am making rice crispie med kit treats by covering treat with white chocolate then usin red fondant for the gross. Fingers crossed!

The Etsy listing for the Fortnite party in a box did not work.

Hi Pat,
Sorry about that! We were fixing a few things with the listing. Should be back up and running now.
Here’s the link: https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/634813773/fortnite-party-in-a-box-everything-you?ref=shop_home_active_5
We also have a printable version that includes some of the same items here:

Carissa Zehel
What are the syringes? What are they called? Aw you using those for the slurp juice?
allwrappedup
Hi Carissa,
They are party syringe shooters or jello shot syringes (these ones of course did not have any alcohol in them). The Slurp juice is made from the mini Gatorade bottles with my custom labels attached.
If you are looking for any of the signage for the party including the Gatorade bottles I have a printable party kit in my Etsy shop at https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/639938911/printable-fortnite-party-box?ref=listing-shop-header-2

What type of spray paint did you use for the drop bags?
allwrappedup
Hi there!
I used Rust-oleum Paint’ers touch – but really any white spray paint should do.
Kesha
For the syringes did you use jello ?? If not what did you use
Melanie
Hey Kesha,
I didn’t actually make the filling but it was jello yes 🙂
